Dropped England captain Wayne Rooney accepts "I'm no longer the first name on the teamsheet"

England captain Wayne Rooney has been dropped from Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier against Slovenia, interim manager Gareth Southgate has said.

The 30-year-old has only been a substitute for Manchester United's last three matches but started for England in the 2-0 win against Malta on Saturday.
